Jordan’s mom had a lot of great info to share with Mitzvah Chit Chat.

We kept Jordan’s mitzvah “dressy casual”, since it was at a deli. We also did our service there. I ended up doing a lot myself – for example the table favors were red Chinese take-out boxes filled with black and white Sixlets. I also ended up making the table numbers myself. I had my printer create the table number and I put them in Ikea picture frames.

Dewayne from Energy was our Emcee and he was fabulous. He had everyone dancing the entire party. The best part of the Mitzvah was watching everyone’s faces when they were told that they could get ANYTHING they wanted from the cafeteria line.

It was an amazing night and I LOVED that our mitzvah was in the city at a Chicago institution. Danny Raskin (from Manny’s) was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. It was a nice change of pace for the kids and I think they loved the experience of getting a Manny’s corned beef sandwich. I think their parents’ were jealous!
