It’s taken me a little while to compose my “Thank You” post because frankly I’m in denial that it’s over. Being the very last Mitzvah of the season, it can be difficult to keep 8th graders engaged. What an amazing team of people I worked with that helped deliver the most amazing party – these kids went out with a bang!

Firstly, to Tracie Simkin (Partie Girl), thanks so much for keeping my head on straight for the last three years (actually 6?) and keeping me accountable to my deadlines and responsibilities. You are worth your weight in gold!

Jordan Hollander (J Hollander Photography) – your talent knows no limits! You conduct yourself with such a high level of professionalism and creativity. You were a true pleasure to work with, and the images captured the very essence of the moment. From being on location, to the synagogue, to the party – each and every photo speaks to who are are as a family.

Christy and the décor team at Joseph’s blew me away. Period. I know executing my vision was demanding, but you nailed every detail. From the sickest dance floor Chicagoland has ever seen, our custom light-up hora chairs and “Stoli” logos everywhere, you totally came through on all fronts.

Kareem (Flow Entertainment) – Legendary. Just legendary. You kept this party lit from minute one and never stopped. There’s just something very special about a Flow Mitzvah. Thank you for keeping the energy on high and the dance floor (and stage, and furniture…) packed all night long.

Jeff Goldstein Xpress Video – When my boys become International Hip Hop Superstars, I’m sending your concept video to TMZ. The quality of your writing and your production is second to none. Our guests never laughed so hard during a montage! I’ve watched it at least a dozen times since the Mitzvah!

Alayna Jordan (Ravinia Green) – You know you’re crazy when your giant sushi dragon turns into a carving station (Kamehachi). Thank you for letting me be as demanding as I needed to be. The food stations were incredible, the service was excellent, the bartenders are now my best friends, and the hot dog cart was the icing on the cake.

PhotoBooth Time – The anti-photo booth. For anyone who doesn’t want to devote a ton of space to a stationary photo booth, you must contact Wayne & Hal Brin. Our selfie stations were the talk of the party!

Clowning Around – My boys said the extreme foosball table and the pop-a-shot for the kid’s cocktail hour was super fun. It certainly looked cool before the kids got in there!

Jenn Cohen (Done Deal Promotions) – The sickest hoodies. Ever. Period. Embroidered bucket hats, baseball hats, fanny packs, muscle Ts…. all amazing. But those hoodies are going down in Mitzvah history. Thank you.

Thank you to all of these amazing people who made our boys’ B’nei Mitzvah such an incredible event.
