The history of a business is important. And the business that I am writing about this evening was started by a 14 year old! Tommy DeLorenzo, of Balloons by Tommy, thought balloons were fun from the time he was 3 years old. When he saw what could be done with balloons, he followed his heart and started Balloons by Tommy. And, as the years have unfolded, he has established an artform with his skill, passion and love for balloon artistry. I have a 14 year old, who is a great kid, but I assure you he is nowhere close to starting his own business. Right there shows you the ambition and drive that Tommy possesses. His company has grown to a team of 3!
If you have been fortunate to have seen some of Tommy’s work, I don’t need to tell you how amazing he his. He has literally changed the definition of balloons. The first time I saw his work in person was for a baby shower. I had never seen creations like this. He had ceiling balloons, draping balloons…balloons inside of balloons, patterns, colors and arrangements. It was unbelievable. Then, I started following him on Instagram, and I couldn’t believe his additional spectrum of abilities and creations. He’s does sculptures, arches, centerpieces, balloon drops and so much more! And, of course Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. I met Tommy in person at the ORT show in January, and I believe his business is so successful because of the person behind it. Tommy is warm, genuine and it shows through and through.
As you pick décor for your Mitzvah, Shabbat Dinner and Brunch, I encourage you to take a look at Balloons by Tommy. He just celebrated a big move to a new warehouse. His hard work and dedication have paid off, and I look forward to seeing what Tommy will do in the near future! For information please visit www.balloonsbytommy.com
